En los años 70, los papeles-soporte utilizados en ofimática para reproducción y copia eran emulsionados, por lo cual sensibles a la luz, al calor y a la presión.
Estas características, propiciaron la investigación del uso de dichos papeles autónomos, es decir, fuera de las maquinas, mezclándolos entre si.
El calor y la presión, fueron los instrumentos de manipulación, modificación y transformación del soporte para generar imágenes con una nueva estética creadas en la mayoría de los casos sin pigmento alguno.
Para dichas manipulaciones se utilizaron todos los instrumentos de calor a su alcance, desde prensas de montaje, planchas domésticas, soldadoras industriales, tostadoras, punzones eléctricos etc…
In the seventies, the office machine papers from the copier were coated, so they were very sensitive to light, heat, and pressure.
These characteristics gave place to a research of the use of these coated papers out of the machines mixing between them.
The heat and pressure were the only manipulation’s tools, to modify and transform a new image that generated a new technique, a new esthetics, with no pigment.
For these manipulations, were used, all the heating objects at hand, such as the photo mounting machine, domestic iron, soldering iron, toaster, waffles cooking apparel etc.
